"On Monday, February 24, 2025, the African Canadian Seniors Network (ACSN) held a moving Black History Month Special Talk & Luncheon at the Rexdale Community Hub. Under the theme “The Impact, Significance, and Sustainability of Black History Month,” the event welcomed over 40 seniors and volunteers for an afternoon of reflection, storytelling, and celebration.

The highlight of the gathering was a stirring keynote by Elder Chief Mrs. Joy Olubunmi Adeniyi, who spoke passionately about the importance of preserving Black heritage, the strength of resilience, and the pride in cultural identity. The event was co-chaired by respected community elders Dr. Ola Kassim and Mrs. Felicia Botchway, who helped set a warm and welcoming tone for the afternoon.
